On 15 August 2011, the representatives from Brunei Polytechnic conducted a road show to SMSO. The road show was to provide information to U6 students, on the courses offered at the polytechnic.

Thanksgiving Ceremony for Brunei scholars (13.8.2011)
On 13 August 2011, seven students (SMSO 2009/2010) who received the government scholarship attended a thanksgiving and gettogether ceremony with the Minister of Education Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Hj Awg Abu Bakar B. Hj Apong.
