      You can take any 3 of the following subjects:

      Bahasa Melayu
      Syariah / Usuluddin
      Mathematics
      Physics
      Chemistry
      Biology
      Applied ICT

      However it all depends on your career choice. If you wish to pursue Engineering, you have to take Mathematics and Physics; and Chemistry too if Chemical Engineering.

      If you are interested in Health Sciences, then Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology

      For aircraft engineering, you must take Mathematics and Physics.

      As for the 3rd subject, you are free to choose any other subject, such as Accounting, Biology, Chemistry

      For computing, you only need Mathematics.

      You need another credit to enter Form 6. Currently your 4 credits (BM, Eng, His and IRK) is not sufficient for you to enter Form 6.

      Yes, you have met the requirement to enter Form 6

      You are not eligible to take Biology or any Pure Sciences at a Level as the requirement is Grade A in O Level Combined Science (MoE rules)

      You can however take any of the 3 subjects based on your O Level results:
      Psychology or Sociology
      Bahasa Melayu
      Syariah or Usuluddin
      History
      Geography

    My other subjects are IRK and Geo but I didn’t sit for them in June. Hopefully I will get good results for them in November.

    Could you please advise me on the subject combination that I could take?
    As I’m interested in A level English Literature, am I qualified to take it? And if so, do I register to PTET or should I register to other PTE schools?

      We don't offer A level English Literature at PTET.

      If you are from Tutong schools, you have to register through PTET first.

      As you are strong in the English language, you can consider to take subjects such as Psychology or Sociology, History, maybe Geography if you score a credit; and Economics as well.

      If you are interested in psychology in science based, psychology can be studied with Maths and Chemistry or Biology

      However if you are into Art stream, then Psychology can be studied with subjects such as Geography, History, Bahasa Melayu etc

      All these are subject to fulfilling the entry requirement for each subject

      If you have done O level history but have not achieved a credit, then you cannot take A Level History

      However if you have never done O level History but with a credit in O Level English, you are allowed to take A Level History

      We do not offer Travel & Tourism at PTET

      Please liase with your previous school as we will inform your previous school once the application for January intake is open.

      Based on your O Level results, you are eligible to enter Form 6 and take 3 of the following A Level subjects

      Bahasa Melayu
      Syariah / Usuluddin
      History
      Sociology
      Accounting
      Applied ICT

      Sociology is study of the society and Psychology is the study of Behavioural Science. You are eligible to enter A Level Sociology. However, to enter Psychology, your O Level English requirement is at least B4

      There is no particular pre-requisite A Level subjects to take Law,
      Most students who are interested in taking Law, normally take subjects which involve in lots of reading, research and essays, such as Sociology, History, Economics, Geography etc.

      At PTET, A Level English Literature is not offered.
      As for English language, it is offered at O Level, for students who have not achieved a Credit in their O Level English. So they have to 'repeat' the O Level English Language at PTET.
      For those who have achieved Credit in their O Level English, they will have to do AS Level General Paper

      At PTET, students are allowed to take Biology, Chemistry and Physics if they achieved at least C6 in the respective subjects in O Levels. However, please speak to the respective tutors during registration for more detailed information.

      Please collect the PTET January intake application form from your previous school as soon as possible

      You need to advise the O level grades before suggestion of the A Level subjects you can take.

      Please note that some subjects may not be offered in January if there are not enough students. If that is the case, you will be advised to join the normal intake when all subjects are offered.

      With the above results, you are not eligible to enter Form 6. You will need to have credits in 5 subjects.

      You also cannot repeat your O Levels or GSCEs at PTET, but at your former school.

    In conclusion, I got 5 'O's.
    My questions;
    - Am I able to enter PTE with these result?
    - If so, what are the possible subjects that I could take?
    - I got a D in Math, and yes, I know its impossible to take 'A' Level Mathematics but I have a background of Additional Mathematics since I learned two years of it. But it may worry the PTE administration of my ability if I decided to take A level Math. Could I possibly make a deal with them. (Ps. I'm in need of advice, haha)

    *take note that the results were out yesterday, I was wondering if there had been any changes regarding the requirements for PTE*

      A Level subjects are very challenging. In order to proceed to A Level subjects in the pure sciences, credit in those O level subjects is the minimum requirement.

      The requirement is standardised among all 6th Form and the memo of the entry requirement to Form 6 was released at the end of 2015.

      There is generally no subject pre-requiste to do Law degree at university. However taking Art based A Level subjects is an advantage such as History, Geography, Sociology. At PTET, students can take either Psychology OR Sociology, not both.

    Assalamualaikum Admin, I just wanted to ask. Can I take Sociology and English Literature in PTE?

    These are my results:
    Sastera A2
    IRK B3
    Bahasa Melayu B4
    Geography C5
    Combined Science C6
    English GCE C6
    English IGCSE C
    Maths IGCSE D

    As you can see, I took 2 English and both are credits. My original O'level syllabus was only English IGCSE not English GCE because I have passions for both Malay and English literature that's why I'm willing to take English GCE as well. I know I took both English still counted as one. Can I pick English Literature in PTE though? base on my experience I had exams on both papers which I think I might have an advantage but I really felt insecure whether I could take it or not. I really really wanna pursue literature. And can I take Sociology as well? Thank you Admin.

      A Level English Literature is not offered at PTET.

      At PTET, all students who have achieved Credit in English must do AS General Paper (Critical thinking skills in English)
